Dear Resident,

Chalfont St Peter’s Community Centre has served us well since the Community paid for it to be built in the 1960s. However, it is so old that we will not be able to keep it running for much longer and it is too small to meet our current and future needs. In June 2018 we asked each household in the Community if it wanted to have a new community centre and 92% of those who responded said ‘Yes’. So the Trustees of the Community Centre have begun the process. We are planning to keep the current community centre running whilst we build a bigger building on the same site, which we hope will achieve ‘Passivhaus’ building standards to reduce heating costs by up to 80% and dramatically reduce carbon emissions. Once this is up and running we will turn the current community centre into extra car parking.

But this project will not be funded by local government and so we need your assistance to raise the six million pounds or so that is required to ensure that we will continue to have a community centre that meets our needs well into the future. One way that you can help us to make a new community centre a reality is by becoming a Friend of the New Chalfont Saint Peter Community Centre.

As a Friend you could do one, some, or all of the following:

  • Make a single donation or a series of donations as and when it suits you.

  • Sign up to a Monthly/Quarterly/Annual standing order.

  • Offer some of your time eg fundraising, helping with the web page, assisting with grant applications, engaging with the community...

  • Ask to be on our email mailing list so that you can be invited to our community meetings and fund-raising events and be kept informed of our progress.

If you would like to become a Friend please complete the form HERE

Alternatively, you can download the Gift Form

If you would like to set up a standing order, please download the Standing Order Mandate

We really do need your support if we are going to be able to make this happen.

Yours sincerely,
